Blue-Gum Cottage

About 5km out of Bonnievale, Blue Gum Cottages is a laid-back and family-friendly spot with two cottages spread along the banks of the Breede.
First off is Blue Gum Cottage itself - a private and rustic cottage tucked, as the name suggests, in the shade of a giant old blue gum tree, mere steps from the water.

With two bedrooms and extra space in the living room, Blue Gum can sleep a maximum five - all linen and towels are provided. What’s more, there’s further space for a tent outside – equipped with a power-point and its own bathroom!

The liberal use of raw timber, reed and river pebbles results in a casual, simple and cool interior, while the stoep (with braai) offers welcome shelter from the elements.
Up the grassy way, Die Stal is a tiny two-roomed abode also overlooking an enticing stretch of the Breede. Other than a soft patch of green grass that's understandably popular among its guests, there's little else separating you from the water.

The cottage features one main ensuite bedroom, plus two single beds in the open living space. Access to the bathroom is through the main bedroom, so the cottage is best suited to a young family, or a couple.
