Weltevrede Wine Estate

Weltevrede is a family owned and operated wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, South Africa.
For over a hundred years the Jonker family have owned and operated the Weltevrede Wine Estate,
trading under one of South Africa’s oldest brand names – Weltevrede.

The current owner and winemaker, Phillip Jonker, has led Weltevrede to become one of the premier Chardonnay Estates in South Africa, specializing in premium Chardonnay and Cap Classique.
In 2021 Weltevrede relaunched their underground cellar tours after extensive renovations during lockdown.
They now boast two specialized underground tours, “Captivated by Chardonnay” and “Captivated by Cap Classique” along with wine tasting, a sabrage experience, platters and the opportunity to “Create your own Cap Classique” where you are guided through creating your very own bottle of Cap Classique.
Weltevrede also launched a new brand – Cape Wine Crafters. This brand is home to familiar favourites such as
Vanilla Chardonnay and Cherrychoc Merlot and can be found on the Weltevrede Estate along with the
Kapokbos restaurant and deli.
